Send Support Letters to Members of Congress
Add your organization's name or your individual name to the Friends of HL7 sign-on letter, by emailing Janet Marchibroda (Friends of HL7 Co-Chair) at jmarchibroda@friendsofhl7.org.
Write letters to your Member of Congress, as well as Members of the House and Senate Labor-HHS Appropriations Subcommittees, urging support for HL7 in this year's appropriations process. Sample letters are provided below. If you have a personal experience to share, please edit the text of the letter to include it.

Schedule a Virtual Visit
All visits with Congressional offices are now virtual, given the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to sending a letter, consider scheduling a virtual visit (e.g. phone call) with the offices of Members who represent your state or a district in your state, particularly if those Members serve on the House or Senate Appropriations Committees, urging support for HL7 in this year's appropriations process. Instructions for learning who to reach out to are provided below.

Our efforts are bolstered by the breadth and depth of our membership. Please reach out to your friends and colleagues, inviting them to join the Friends of HL7 and provide their volunteer support. Remember, this is an entirely voluntary effort. No financial contribution is required to participate.
