HL7 FHIR® plays a critical, foundational role in facilitating information sharing among patients, clinicians, and others whose goals are to improve our nation's health. Congress, the Administration, and the private sector have all embraced HL7 FHIR® as a method for information sharing.
HL7 needs predictable, ongoing federal support to augment current private sector support, to effectively carry out its critical, role in improving interoperability and information sharing in the United States. Friends of HL7 is advocating for this federal support.
